The college was established in the year 2002 and covers a total land area of 6.62 acres. Total built up area of 324381.72. sq. ft. which includes 211627.68 sq. ft. of academic building. The college campus has three hostels i.e. girls, boys, NRI hostels; total built up area is 68627.28 sq. ft. Facilities of staff quarters i.e. HIG / MIG / LIG flats are also available for the college staff; total built up area being 44126.76 sq.ft. The institute is ISO 9001 certified having lush green environment.

Health Care Reform emphasizes primary care and prevention. Dental care has always been guided by these objectives. Dental education must stress the importance of meeting the oral health of all individuals”. The institution’s mission is to educate and train students to ensure excellence in the practice of the art & science of the dentistry. This require graduates to be technically skilled, knowledgeable in the biological sciences, compassionate, and sensitive to the need of patients and the community. The institution fosters innovative teaching, research, scholarship and community service. Furthermore, the institution instils an inquisitive mind set and the need for lifelong learning among its faculty and students. The instituion offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) course with 100 admissions per year and Master of Dental Surgery (M.D.S.) course in nine specialities.

Under the aegis of Sarvajanik Jankakyan Parmarthik Nyas, PDA was established in the year 2004. The academic session commenced in the year 2005 with an intake of 100 students.

School of Dentistry is conducting B.D.S. and M.D.S. courses in nine specialties.It is affilated to People’s Hospital having a capacity of 1150 beds and is located in close vicinity. It provides extensive clinical facilities to UG and PG students for learning at both, rural and urban centers.

It is constituent institute of People’s University (2011-12) . It has the required approvals of the Dental Council of India and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Govt. of India) as well as the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.

The People’s University campus is spread over 69.19 acres of area near the National Highway No. 86 in Bhopal. It is credited to be Central India’s largest single-campus University. People’s University has established Central Library in University Teaching Department, comprising books of all disciplines including Medical, Dental, Engineering, Paramedical, Law, Media Studies and LifeSciences. The libraries are having computers connected by LAN provided with Wi-Fi and internet facilities.

Digital Library enables the students and staff to search the availability, request and reserve various books and other reference material available in the libraries at the comfort of their houses.

Dental Hygienist- Passed 10+1 and 10+2 examination with PCBE
Dental Mechanics- Passed 10+2 examination with 50% minimum aggregate in PCBE.
