RBU is established under Punjab act no. 16 of 2014 vide notification no. 17-leg/2014 dated 13th August 2014 and notified by UGC under section 22 of the UGC act 1956, is empowered to award degree vide letter No. 8-23/2014 (CPP-I/PU Dated 26th Sept 2014 by University Grant Commission (UGC). Just within the vicinity of city beautiful Chandigarh, and well within the reach of the facilities of the city stands the thriving campus of RayatBahra University (RBU). The institution has emerged to a position of pre- eminence in the region as well as in the country due to its high academic standards and well-entrenched research and development area. The university has Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dentistry, Management, Hospitality, Education, Sciences, Health, Allied Sciences, Agriculture, Nursing and Law Schools of Excellence. The university offers a choice based flexible learning system, enabling interdisciplinary approach for learners to learn at their own pace and choose electives from other available courses as well as to take up some additional/value-added courses to increase their employability skills. In addition, the university offers several courses that serve as a bridge and preparatory tool to narrow the gap required for graduate studies.

Hostel Facility

The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, drugs, smoking, alcohol, and disciplinary misconduct.

• Separate hostel facility is available for boys and girls inside the campus.
• Rooms are modern having attached washroom, bed, mattress, bedsheet, pillow & pillow cover, curtain, table, chair and cupboards.
• Each room has an air cooler/air conditioner facility for summer as per the needs.
• The power supply is available for 24 hours.
• Each room is equipped with geysers providing hot water to combat winters.
• The Wi-Fi system facility is provided in all rooms. The students need to contact the appropriate authority for the same and are subject to conditions.
• Power backup is available for light load only (not for AC/ Geyser/ Air cooler).
• Students opting for residential facilities on-campus are allowed to use electric kettles, electric iron, steamer, trimmer, hair straightener, and hairdryer. Extra electricity that is incurred by the usage of these items will be borne by the respective students.
• The In-house laundry facility is provided at a minimal charge.

Green Environment

The Rayat-Bahra university has a lot of open spaces inside the campus, these open spaces are lush green and planted with trees and plants to add beauty. Adequate cleaning is maintained throughout the campus. This cleaner and greener environment facilitates easy learning and promotes creativity.

Mentor Support

The faculty and staff are available on-campus throughout the day for students who want to seek guidance academically and professionally. Counseling support is also available for students who are undergoing stress, depression, emotional and family problems. This kind of support is unique enabling students to perform better academically and support details are kept thoroughly confidential.

Medical Assistance

The campus has a dispensary facility, which has doctors and nurses available for support as the need arises. The campus also has a mobile dental van available for all students.

Meals

The campus has students mess that provides good quality and hygienic food. The mess has a huge seating capacity and serves food thrice a day. However, only vegetarian meals are provided. Besides, students mess, the university houses several joints in and around campus where students can avail varieties of food as per their taste and requirements.

Parking

The university campus is large enough to accommodate cars and bikes. But, these need to park at designated places only.
