B.Sc nursing is a 4 years duration Bachelor's degree program offered at the university level. The course includes 6 months duration of internship which is specially designed for the students to undergo planned supervised, and intensive practical experience in the hospital and community setting.
The aim of the course is to develop critical thinking skills, competence, and standards required to work as a care provider, educator, coordinator, advocator, researcher, counselor, and administrator, etc.
B.Sc. The nursing programme is approved by Assam Nurses' Midwives' & Health Visitors' Council (ANMHVC) & Indian Nursing Council (INC)
Affiliation with GMCH for clinical exposure of B.Sc. (Nursing) students at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), an Annex Hospital of GMCH.
i) 10+2 in Science Stream and should have passed in PCB & English as a compulsory subject
ii) Scored, minimum 50% marks in PCB taken together
iii) 5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC- Non- Creamy Layer
iv) Students should be medically fit, and
v) Students must be minimum of 17 years of age as of 31st December, of the year in which admission is sought.
