Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, also called KazGU or KazNU, is a university in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Named after the Eastern philosopher and scholar al-Farabi, it is one of the country's largest universities.

MBBS in Kazakhstan Admission Process

Kazakhstan MBBS admission process for the 2020 session is already underway. The admission process is simple. All the medical universities in Kazakhstan have started issuing admission letters. The students who have cleared NEET in 2018 or 2019 can apply for a confirmed admission letter. Such students will require the following documents for the admission letter –

  • 10th mark sheet
  • 12th mark sheet
  • valid id proof (Aadhar card or passport)
  • NEET qualified result (downloaded pdf file of 2018 or 2019)

For the students who are appearing for NEET 2020, they can apply for a provisional admission letter right now. This will mean that a seat will be reserved at the university for you. Once you clear NEET, you will get a confirmed admission letter from the medical university.

Such students will require scan copy of the following documents for a provisional admission letter –

  • 10th mark sheet
  • 12th mark sheet
  • valid id proof (Aadhar card or passport)

Once this is done, the second step is to apply for a visa.

MBBS in Kazakhstan Eligibility

The following is the minimum MBBS in Kazakhstan eligibility criteria for admission of an Indian student as of the date of writing this answer:

  • The student must be 17 years old before or on 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
  • It is mandatory that the student must have completed class 12th from a recognized board.
  • The student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from the General category.
  • If the student is from SC/ST/OBC then, the student must have an aggregate of at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject.
  • You need to qualify NEET from 2018 onwards for admission in any country abroad. NEET result is valid for a period of 3 years for studying MBBS abroad.
